Christmas Giftcard Holder
We exchanged gifts with my side of the family in Perth before we left for NZ, so I was busy making lots of cards and packages in the week before we left. I wanted a gift card holder to package a giftcard for my brother-in-law, and set about making up a little holder similar to this design I had seen on Claire Daly’s blog.

Here’s the front of the giftcard holder, all folded up. It has the snowflake from Season of Joy stamped in VersaMark in the background on an Old Olive base. I made a belly band that wraps around the holder using some I Wish DSP on some Real Red card and with the sentiment from Best Yet (are you sick of this one yet…?! I do have some other Christmas sentiments, but this just seemed to match perfectly with everything!!)
When you take the belly band off and open it up, it looks like this:

The bottom section is doubled over and holds the giftcard (you can see it poking out there!). I punched a 1″ Circle partway into the edge so you can pull out the giftcard easily. I also used some I Wish die cuts and DSP to decorate the middle and address it to my brother-in-law Matt.
It wasn’t until I finished making the project, looking at Claire’s design carefully online and measuring it up to fit my giftcard, that I realised that this was the giftcard holder featured in our Impressions newsletter this past month, and I had the template right there ready for me to use!! Oh well! If anyone wants me to email them the template, let me know!
Thanks for the inspiration, Claire!
I Wish for More Christmas Cards!
Here are some more Christmas cards I made before we left for NZ.
These also use the I Wish kit (can you tell I really love it and was also trying to use it up before Christmas?!).

This card above is pretty similar to one on the last post with a die cut ornament, tied with Linen Thread, with some I Wish DSP and a Real Red scalloped edge die cut. I used some Kraft, Chocolate Chip and Real Red colours for this card (lovely Christmas colours!). I really love the ornaments in this kit – they are just gorgeous!

This card features a really lovely sentiment and with some cute berry DSP from the I Wish kit, plus some scallop, some bling and some ribbon, it makes a really pretty card! This ribbon is actually the Real Red Polka Dot ribbon from the Summer Mini, but I have just turned it over and tied it carefully so only the underside shows, and you end up with a gorgeous double stitched ribbon! Perfect for a pretty Christmas card!
I Wish for Christmas Cards
I am currently writing from Christchurch, New Zealand, as we headed over here a couple of days ago for Christmas with the in-laws! I uploaded a heap of last minute photos before we left, so hopefully I will be able to pop back here and finish a few posts while we are away!
I made plenty more Christmas cards before we left and have a few of them here to show you. These cards both use the I Wish scrapbooking set which has been a super easy way to make great cards!

The card above uses some of the I Wish DSP with some diecuts for the Real Red scallop at the bottom, and the Christmas bauble hanging down. I added some Linen Thread to the top of the ornament and also used the sentiment from Best Yet in a Scalloped Oval punch. I put it all on an Old Olive background and added it to a Real Red base.

This card uses another ornament from the kit with some more Linen Thread and used the gorgeous Real Red snowflake DSP from the kit. I stamped the snowflakes from the Punch Pals stamp set on the background in VersaMark. I made a scalloped Kraft rectangle using the Scallop Border Punch and added a Chocolate Chip rectangle, before putting the ornament on top. And of course, another Christmas sentiment from the Best Yet stamp set.
I’m enjoying a nice relaxing afternoon, and it’s great to be on holidays finally!
I’ll be back with some more Christmas stamping before the big day! Only 5 more sleeps til Santa comes!
Christmas Tags Again
Time for some more Christmas tags!
These tags were made using the I Wish Scrapbooking Pack, which has been fantastic for making lovely and simple Christmas cards, tags and 3D items. I really love the DSP that comes with this set – more of that to come!!

Here’s some holly and berries diecuts on a Kraft and Real Red circle. I used the sentiment from Best Yet and coloured it with the Old Olive and Real Red markers.

This one uses a snowflake diecut on a Chocolate Chip circle with a Real Red circle. I also stamped the snowflakes from the Punch Pals stamp set on the Real Red base and tied it with some Hemp Twine.

This tag above uses some stars from this kit to make a quick and easy tag with cute rounded corners (Corner Rounder Punch) with some Real Red Grosgrain to tie it.

This Christmas tag was made using the DSP from the I Wish set after seeing Kristina Werner’s idea here. I just drew a stocking and cut the different pieces out of the lovely I Wish DSP and then pieced it all together! Isn’t it cute?!
I’ve been making lots and lots of Christmas prezzies and finishing off my Christmas card stash, so I have plenty more ideas over the next few days leading up to Christmas!! Can’t believe it’s only 9 more sleeps!
Christmas Tags
It’s that time of the year…! I can’t believe Christmas is nearly here! I started making Christmas cards in October, and I’m still busy making more! One thing I have absolutely LOVED playing with is my new Circle Scissors Plus – the best invention ever! I have been making lots of Christmas tags using this tool and I also used it to make some Christmas tags with my kids at school.
These tags below use the Season of Joy stamp set to create some cute and simple Christmas tags that are perfect for adding to a Christmas present:

This tag above uses the flowers and the sentiment from the Season of Joy in Old Olive & Real Red card and ink. There is also some Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon to tie to the present.

This tag uses the tree and the swirl from the Season of Joy stamp set, with the sentiment from Best Yet with a Scallop Oval. I love the Kraft, Real Red, Old Olive combo!
These tags look super cute tied up to a present and give an added loving touch to any present!!
I’ll be back with some more Christmas tag ideas soon!
Christmas Stamp-a-Stack Cards
I’ve been a bit busy lately with plenty of crafting and stamping!
I was so busy that my new pre-order products from the brand new Summer Mini arrived on Wednesday and I didn’t get a chance to play with them til late Friday night!! I have a sneak peeks that I want to show you as well, so stay tuned…!
I had a wonderful group of girls over for a Christmas Stamp-a-Stack on Wednesday and we had a great time, as we always do! These are the Christmas cards that the girls made, using the Season of Joy stamp set (my fave all-rounder Christmas set because it is so versatile) and my new Punch Pals stamp set (my new fave because it is just so cute!).
The first four are Season of Joy cards:
These two cards used the Real Red, Old Olive & Chocolate Chip markers to create a multi-coloured image that is simple but gives a great effect.
Some Christmas baubles using the snowflake and swirl image and some Circle Punches:
Some pretty Christmassy flowers (this is a great design to make in bulk – just stamp lots of swirls on pieces of white card, a page full of flowers, cut them out and voila!).
The next four cards used the Punch Pals set with some cute snowmen and penguins – the girls fell in love with these cuties! I’m not normally a huge fan of snow images for Christmas, seeing as we don’t really get anything remotely snow-like at Christmas in Australia, but these stamps won me over!
Meet Mr Snowman:
And his friend, Mr Penguin:
Mr Snowman with his Christmas tree and a little bit of faux snow!
And the forest where Mr Snowman lives… or a whole bunch of Christmas trees, I’m not sure! Maybe this is the Tree Farm where you go to pick out your Christmas tree… !!
If you need to get supplies to make your own Christmas cards, then just call or email me to place your order so you can get started soon.
If you would like to make it even easier to make your own Christmas cards, just choose one of my Christmas cards that you like, tell me the number of cards you want to make and I can design a pack for you with all the supplies you need and have it delivered to your door!! I’ll even include your own copy of the card you want to use for inspiration!
Now that definitely takes the stress out of Christmas planning!!
Happy Christmas stamping!
