Step It Up!

Here is an example that I have demonstrated recently showing how you can make a simple card and then “step it up” to add some extra embellishments to give it some extra pizzazz!

I used the Trendy Trees set with autumn colours which I coloured in with markers and a bit of “rock n roll” with Ruby Red on the edges! The first version was pretty simple with a Kraft cardstock base and layers of Pumpkin Pie & Ruby Red cardstock to layer with the trees.

Then I stepped it up by cutting out the middle tree so that it stood out and also adding Crystal Effects to it. I also punched a 1 3/8″ circle of Ruby Red to make a little accent on the top and added the Riding Hood Red ribbon to the top. I also added 3 brads to the bottom and then popped the sentiment up on dimensionals.

The Crystal Effects give it a cool lacquered effect and the extra embellishments just make the card extra special for that extra special person!
