“A Klass Act” July Team Day

We had our quarterly “A Klass Act” Team Day on Saturday, which was so much fun!! It’s great catching up with the other girls in the team, chatting, getting great ideas and inspiration, eating chocolate and making amazing projects!

I made some swaps to share and picked up some fantastic cards from the other girls in my swap using the products from the new catalogue! I’ll show those in the next few days.

I thought I would show you the projects that we made at Team Day. They were using some really cool techniques and all turned out beautifully!

To start with, I demonstrated a little Workshop Wow where I showed how to create the embossed watercolour roses that I have explained here.

I received a lovely thankyou from Sarah for taking part in the team to organize the day which was a gift certificate in gorgeous packaging:

 Thanks, Sarah!

Now, onto the projects that we made! The first project I made was an A4 scrapbooking page (that we could later turn into a 12″ x 12″ page). It was a stunning design created by Janny Klass using the Great Friend stamp set from the new Spring Mini! Here is her page complete with 12″ x 12″ black card and a gorgeous B&W photo:

And here is my attempt… !! I need to add the 12″ x 12″ backing but don’t have the best choice of colours at the moment so I will need to order some more!

Then we made a great card using a technique with Rubbing Alcohol & Ink and the new Just Beachy set from the Spring Mini. The alcohol and inks help to create a cool bubbly water effect on the background like this:

Then on the inside, we used the bubbly looking circle from Circle Circus to create the following effect:

Isn’t that a great beachy themed card!! Such a cool technique too!

Then we made a fantastic box that was made out of only 1 A4 page of cardstock. We stamped it with the swirl from Baroque Motifs and added some jumbo eyelets to the top and some lovely Chocolate Chip ribbon:

It was such a fun day and we had such fantastic projects to see and make! I love catching up with everyone and being inspired by new projects and ideas!

I’ll have to show you the swaps as well, as they are just incredible and full of great ideas!! Pop back for those in the next day or so!
