Thankful Flowers

This is the last post in my Thankyou card sequence! Hopefully you now have plenty of ideas for thankyou cards!

We are heading off on holiday to Phuket tomorrow with hubby, and will be gone for a week, so there will be a little break in my stamping & blogging. I’m looking forward to having a nice relaxing time, lapping up the sunshine and enjoying some much needed rest time! I’ll pop some holiday snaps up when I get back so you can see where we went.

Back to the thankyou cards! These last two cards use the Fifth Ave Floral stamp set and Urban Garden DSP which co-ordinate beautifully.

I did a little bit of watercolouring on the flower and lily stamps and used the colours that co-ordinate with the DSP. The cute sentiments are from Sweet Little Sentiments which is a Hostess only set – let me know if you want to host a workshop and get it for yourself for FREE!!

Butterfly Thankyou

Another simple butterfly thankyou card…

Butterflies Thankyou

This one also uses the So Saffron Patterns DSP and a thankyou sentiment from Occasional Greetings.

I promise you that I won’t show you too many more butterflies for awhile! I will have to look for some more stamps…

I have 2 more thankyou cards tomorrow using Fifth Ave Floral and a little bit of watercolouring, and then I will be having a little break from blogging as I am on holidays for a little while. We are going to be away overseas for a week, so I am going to have a break from computers and technology and just do some relaxing! As much as I love blogging and card making and technology and the internet… it is nice to have a break every once in awhile and really de-stress without all the distractions!!

Thankful for Butterflies

… among other things! There are many things to be thankful for – the beautiful butterflies that God made and the beautiful butterfly stamps that Stampin Up made – are just the start!!

Thankyou Butterflies

Here is another simple butterfly thankyou card using the lovely Walk in the Park DSP which is just gorgeous! I’m on my 2nd pack of this DSP since it came out in the Spring Mini last month and I am having to restrain myself from using it too quickly! I have plenty of other beautiful DSP, but this one keeps calling my name…!

One more butterfly card for tomorrow… and then I will try to move on… and look at other stamps…maybe!

Stamps: Great Friend, sentiment (retired)
Paper: Baja Breeze, Cameo Coral, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White, Walk in the Park DSP

Elegant Thankyou

Today’s elegant card features the Elegant Thankyou stamp – an individual stamp that is currently being offered in our Spring Mini. It is a lovely stamp for adding an extra… elegance to your card! Hence the name!

And of course, when you are unsure of which other stamp to add to your card… the best option is to grab your butterfly from the Great Friend stamp set!! Well, that’s what I always seem to do anyway!!

Elegant Thankyou Butterflies

When I first started playing around with the Elegant Thankyou stamp, I discovered that it fit perfectly into our Scallop Square Punch. I love the way Stampin Up’s stamps and punches all co-ordinate together! It just makes life so much easier!!

I used Cameo Coral & Baja Breeze, and stamped the butterflies on the Whisper White panel, and then cut a couple out to pop up. Once you cut a few of these butterflies out, it becomes quite easy to do it for multiple butterflies!! A Baja Breeze Scalloped Edge added to the bottom ties all those scallops in and finishes it off.

Pop back tomorrow, because there might possibly be some more butterflies… and some more thankyous!!

Thanks Always

I have another thankyou card for you today using the Always stamp set – this time the super cute bird from the Always set!

This is a pretty simple card – the only fiddly bit is cutting out the bird so that it pops up from the card!

Always Bird Thanks

I used the oh so pretty Pink Pirouette with Regal Rose & Baja Breeze, for a nice soft coloured card. I used a piece of Baja Breeze Patterns DSP and then also stamped the branch stamp in VersaMark on the PInk Pirouette base. I stamped the bird in Baja Breeze and used the thanks so much sentiment from the Trendy Trees set, plus the always from the Always stamp set.

Wouldn’t you like to received a card like that in the mail?! It’s so nice to hear someone say “Thankyou” and warms your heart even more when you receive a little note or handmade card to say thanks! Making these cards has reminded me of the importance of giving thankyou cards to encourage those who are so important in my life!

I will have to send out some thankyou cards this week!!

Tomorrow’s thankyou card is more of an Elegant Thankyou… pop in to see more then!

“Always Bird Thanks”
Stamps: Always, Trendy Trees (sentiment)
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Baja Breeze Patterns DSP
Ink: Baja Breeze, Regal Rose, VersaMark
Accessories: 1 3/8 Cirlce Punch, 1 ¼ Circle Punch, Scallop Border Punch

Simply Said… Thankyou

Today’s card is a little more pretty and girly than yesterday’s Thankyou card! It uses the gorgeous Always set that I LOVE!

This stamp set is actually one that I bought for my sister, Natalie, for Christmas, after she liked it when it was in last year’s Spring Mini. Then, a couple weeks after Christmas I “borrowed” it to make a card… and have yet to return it!!! It now has its own place on my shelf and Natalie said that I can hang onto it for a little bit longer, as long as I make her some cards occasionally!

Hmm… I wonder what I can buy her this Christmas!!! 😉

Anyway, back to the card!

Thankyou Heart

I used the Always heart and Sweet Always DSP – the colours are Regal Rose, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip & Pink Pirouette. The heart is stamped in Regal Rose and then matted on Pink Pirouette & Chocolate Chip with a piece of Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon. I stamped the branch stamp in VersaMark on the Pumpkin Pie base and then stamped the sentiment (from the Simply Said stamp set) in Chocolate Chip. Add a bit of Sweet Always DSP punched with the Scallop Border Punch and you’re all done!

Tomorrow I have another thankyou card using the bird from the Always set!

“Thank you Heart”
Stamps: Always, Simply Said
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Sweet Always DSP
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose, VersaMark
