Christmas ideas…

Christmas is getting closer and closer (just under 8 weeks to go!!)  and I have been busy making Christmas cards to add to my stash!

Here are some more cards that I have made lately:

Christmas bauble

The idea for this card came from a gorgeous design that Andrea Walford had posted. It used a  super cute ornament stamp (that we don’t have in Australia), but I thought it would work pretty well if I made an ornament using my Season of Joy stamp set. I also used the swirl from the Season of Joy stamp set and stamped it a few times for the background. I added a little glitter to the middle of the star – it’s a bit tricky to see in this photo, but trust me, in real life it is very bling-bling!!

This next card was one I made while having more of a play with my Punch Pals set.

Christmas Snowman

I made a few “snowy hills” using some torn Whisper White and then sponging with a little bit of Baja Breeze ink. Then I stamped the tree and snowman and cut them out and popped them up on Dimensionals in my winter wonderland! A cute little sentiment from the Best Yet hostess set and it was all done.

I’ve got many many more Christmas cards to make so I better get back to some stamping!

Pop back tomorrow for a de-brief of our fantastic A Klass Act Team stamping day today! It was so much fun and we made some very cute projects. Regionals last Saturday, Team Day this Saturday… whatever will I do next Saturday!? Anyone want to have me over for a workshop?!

Christmas Giftbag

I made a giftbag a little while ago for a lovely hostess who had a Christmas Card Class at her house (hi Kristie!!). It was a great time of chatting and stamping, and I wanted to make a special something as a thankyou!

I used Keesh’s tutorial to make this project and it was very easy and I really like how it turned out:

Christmas giftbag1

This is the giftbag with the choccies taken out – you can see that you can fit quite a few in there!

Christmas giftbag2

I can’t even really post a recipe for this because everything was made using the I Wish Scrapbook Kit – no stamps, no ink, just yummy papers and easy-peasy diecuts (I just added the Chocolate Chip ribbon and the chocolates!)!

I LOVE this I Wish kit and it makes Christmas preparations so easy! You can make so many cards, tags, gifts and projects with this one kit! Plus if you add some more cardstock and maybe even a stamp set as well, you could make ALL your Christmas cards! A lot of my customers have been buying this lately because it makes creating so much easier, especially if you don’t have many supplies already.

If you would like to get this kit for yourself, or other Christmas supplies, then call or email me to place your order soon, so you have plenty of time to get creating before Christmas rolls around!

Happy Christmas creating!

Inkspirations Inspiration Challenge #14 – Take 2!

Phew! I have just managed to sneak in to posting my 2nd card in time!

I thought I had better have a proper play with Keesh’s Challenge!

Here’s the inspiration picture… again!

And here is my card:

Way to Go

I took the Inspiration rather literally when I was making this card! I tried to get the stripes of the quilt in the same colours to create the pattern on the left of the card. I added some button features on the far left by punching Basic Black cardstock with a holepunch and the 1/2″ Circle Punch to create things that kind of look like washers – I thought it gave it a fun look! I needed a sentiment for the right hand side, so I chose my new Starring You set and added some VersaMarked stars.

P.S.  There is still time to get this cool stampset and the co-ordinating Rock Star Simply Sent Kit to make some super easy cards! Just let me know by Saturday 31st October – you have two more days!!

“Way to Go”
Stamps: Starring You
Paper: Baja Breeze, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black, Kiwi Kiss Patterns DSP
Ink: Basic Black, VersaMark
Accessories: ½” Circle Punch, Hole Punch

Inkspirations Inspiration Challenge #14

I have been a bit busy and haven’t had a chance to get to making challenge cards this week, but I just realised that the card I made the other day for my nephew fits pretty well with Keesh’s Inspiration Challenge for this week!

I thought I would re-post it here for that challenge, but hopefully I will have time to make another one before the challenge closes… I will see how I go!

Here’s the inspiration picture:

Check out those great boys colours with the greens and blues! I will try to pretend that I was channelling Keesh’s inspiration when I made the card, but I think it is also that these are the boys colours I usually go for! I know the bedspread is very stripey, but if you have a look at the top of it where it folds over, and the base sheet, they are actually very spotty! Just like my Good Morning Sunshine DSP below! So I can say that was my inspiration!!

B is for Birthday

Well, I will stop making excuses now and try to make another card to submit as well! So I don’t feel so bad about re-posting! I just wanted to be involved!! 😉

Thanks for the inspiration, Keesh!

“B is for Birthday”
Stamps: Party Hearty
Paper: Pacific Point, Baja Breeze, Good Morning Sunshine DSP
Ink: Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, VersaMark
Accessories: Baja Breeze Striped Ribbon, Baja Breeze Corduroy Brad, 3/4” Circle Punch, Stampin Dimensionals

My Christmas Class cards

I have been busy with Christmas Card Classes lately, but now that I have had my last class, I wanted to show you the cards that we made. The girls all made 4 cards and a 3D project and they all enjoyed trying new ideas and techniques!

The first card is a great masking idea that I CASEd from my upline Sarah Klass:

Christmas Glitter Baubles

It’s very simple to make but looks so effective (like you have been busy for hours!!) so it’s a great one to mass produce! It’s also pretty flat which is handy for mailouts. You punch a template in scrap paper to mask the background, wheel over it with a So Swirly wheel in Not Quite Navy, sponge with Baja Breeze ink and then add glitter to the swirls.

“Christmas Glitter Baubles”
Stamps: Occasional Greetings, So Swirly Roller
Paper: Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze, Whisper White
Ink: Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze, Basic Black (Journaller)
Accessories: 1 3/8” & 1 ¼” Circle Punch (for template), Two-Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds, Sponge, Stampin Dimensionals

This one uses the Season of Joy stamp set:

Christmas Season

It’s a bit hard to see but the flowers are VersaMarked in the background.

“Christmas Season”
Stamps: Season of Joy
Paper: Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White, Ski Slope DSP
Ink: Real Red, Old Olive, Baja Breeze, Basic Black, VersaMark
Accessories: ½” & ¾” Circle Punch, Vintage Brad, Stampin Dimensionals

This one involved a bit of watercolouring and my new Christmas stamp set “Punch Pals”:

Christmas Tag

“Christmas Tag”
Stamps: Punch Pals
Paper: Ruby Red, Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Ruby Red, Kiwi Kiss, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, VersaMark
Accessories: Aquapainter, Holepunch, Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon, Word Window Punch, Stampin Dimensionals

This card used the tree from Season of Joy:

Christmas Tree

Stamps: Season of Joy, Occasional Greetings
Paper: Kraft, Real Red, Whisper White, I Wish DSP (Scrapbooking Kit)
Ink: Whisper White, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Scallop Border Punch, Stampin Dimensionals

The 3D project was a cute little Scalloped Edge Giftbox which could fit chocolates, giftcards, tags or even hang on the Christmas tree:

Christmas Gift box

“Christmas Scalloped Gift Box”
Stamps: Best Yet
Paper: Ruby Red, Whisper White, Old Olive, Holiday Treasures DSP
Ink: Real Red, Old Olive
Accessories: Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, Holepunch, Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Stampin Dimensionals

Need to get back to stamping some more Christmas cards for my own personal Christmas card list now!

Rock Star – Promo Ends Soon!

This month’s World Card Making Day special is a great offer – so great, in fact, that I had to take advantage of it myself! I bought the Rock Star Simply Sent Kit and the co-ordinating Starring You stamp set because I thought they would be perfect for male cards!

I was able to put them to use straight away because I needed some cards for my two nephews who are turning 7 and 9 at the beginning of November (they live in New Zealand so I needed to send them off earlier!).

The kits are so handy because they not only have great ideas and instructions, but also lots of borders and die-cut images and some very cool DSP! I used the ideas in the kit and changed them a little to put in my own creative juices and came up with the following card:

Happy Birthday Stars

I love the stars and the colours are perfect for a boy’s card!

After making one card, I couldn’t stop and had to make another one using this kit!

Celebrate Today

I decided to make one a little different for the second nephew’s birthday, so I pulled out the Party Hearty stamp set and some funky Good Morning Sunshine dotty DSP and made a nice bright boys card.

B is for Birthday

I love those Baja Breeze corduroy brads and buttons and I am so sad they are going to be going soon when the Summer Mini finishes at the end of November.

If you would like to take advantage of the October offer and buy one of these great Simply Sent Card Kits and get the co-ordinating stamp set for 20% off, then call or email me before October 31st to place your order.
